Full heater performances on Process Gas Heater
This CFD model was developed to evaluate the reactive thermo-fluid dynamic behaviour inside a process gas heater.
All the heater components except convection section tubes (which were considered as porous zone with equivalent pressure drop) were precisely modelled.
The burners have been simulated with a velocity inlet boundary imposed at each entrance;
The process fluid is included on radiant box computation with a full conjugate heat transfer (CHT). This CFD model reproduce all the environment variables (velocity, temperature, species concentration, radiation, heat flux on tubes, etc.)
The analysis has been performed in steady state, turbulent, reactive and radiative; buoyancy effect has been considered.
