Boiler performances on Water Tube type Boiler
A CFD study was performed on a Water Tube Fired Boilers with three Low NOx register burners, suitable for Natural Gas firing. The study comprised two steps:
- Non-reactive set-up to optimize air distribution on burners and verify pressure loss
- Reactive set-up to verify burners performances and flame interaction
The analysis was instrumental to developing some improvements to the initial burner design.
Two design conditions were analyzed: at normal operation with three burners in operation, and at maximum load with two burners in operation.
All analysis has been performed in steady and turbulent state.
